Senior Agricultural Mechanic
Full Time: Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
The Senior Agricultural Mechanic is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of agricultural equipment, primarily tractors. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service. The senior mechanic will also mentor and guide junior mechanics.
Responsibilities:
Diagnostics and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of tractors and other agricultural machinery to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Perform complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and hydraulic system repairs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and guide junior mechanics, providing technical expertise and training.
Oversee workshop operations and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts inventory.
Complete all required reports and documentation.
Customer Service: Advise customers on equipment optimization and provide excellent aftercare support.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in agricultural equipment maintenance and repair.
Strong knowledge of tractor systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
experience of working on Siromer tractors, or similar compact tractors would be a great advantage.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanics or agricultural engineering.

Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.30 pm
Occasional early starts, late finishes and weekends will be required over seasonal times to cover demand
