GALVANISED BODY

Hot-dip galvanized steel provides maintenance-free corrosion protection around the clock for decades. Because galvanizing provides substantial maintenance time and cost savings, it is widely accepted as one of the best forms of corrosion protection in the agricultural industry.

The body of the Siromer Topper and finishing mower are galvanised.

SEMI -OFFSET

Being able to offset your mower is a huge help when trying to cut close to hedges and fences.

The Siromer finishing mower and light duty flail mower cannot be offset. They are both fixed inline behind the tractor

The Siromer topper (4ft, 5ft and 6ft) can be offset left or right by approximately 6" or can be central behind the tractor. The position is changed by mechanically sliding the headstock left or right. The picture shows the topper fully offset to the left, so the topper is behind the left rear wheel.

The 9ft topper cannot be offset.

The Siromer heavy duty flail mower is fixed in a semi offset position. The picture shows the flail mower offset to the right, so the flail mower is sitting behing the right rear wheel.

The Siromer hydraulic flail mower can be offset left or right or can be central behind the tractor. The position is changed by hydraulically sliding the headstock left or right using the tractors double acting spool valve. The picture shows the flail mower fully offset to the left, so the flail mower is sitting behing the left rear wheel.

The Siromer verge mower can be offset right or can be central behind the tractor. The verge mower can be completely offset so that it mows to the right of the tractor. The position is changed by using the dual double acting spool valves on the tractors. the Siromer verge mower can also be articulated to cut the side of hedges or down into ditches. The head can be angled from verticle to 60 degrees downwards.

The Siromer fence post mower has 2 parts, a flail mower and a side arm. The flail mower can be offset left or right or can be central behind the tractor. The position is changed by hydraulically sliding the headstock left or right using the tractors double acting spool valve.

The side arm is completely offset to the right of the tractor.

BLADE TYPE

Fixed Blade - The Siromer finishing mower has 3 fixed blades which overlap using a rotary cutting action like a traditional lawn mower, to give a close cut finish.

Swinging Blade - The heavy-duty rotor with swinging blade system allows the topper to withstand the excessive pressures of wet conditions and to absorb small impacts without effecting performance

Knife Blade - The Y-Blades are great when cutting tall weeds and overgrowth and can also offer a nice cut to your lawn. They are more of a knife and less of a mulcher and they leave a very clean cut and a much tidier looking finishing.

Hammer Blade - The rows of blades are staggered to offer a complete cut. If a flail hammer blades strikes an immovable object, it simply bounces off. Flail mowers with hammer blades can cut branches up to 4 inches, and moreover, they can cut everything the Y shaped blades can do.

OPENING BACK

Siromer heavy-duty flail mowers and verge mowers have optional opening backs.

The back can be left closed to allow the grass to circulate in the mower which will cut the grass finer.

When the grass is wet or dense it is best to open the back allowing the grass to be thrown out otherwise it can get clogged up in the machine.

AUTOMATIC BELT TENSIONER

Siromer heavy-duty flail mowers and verge mowers have an optional automatic belt tensioning system that keeps maintenance to a minimum and ensures correct adjustment of the belts to maximize their service life. The belts are tensioned automatically by means of a sprung idler pulley.

CHAIN DEFLECTOR

Rotary type mowers have a tendency to grab and throw the object out of the mower deck if its small enough, the chain guards on the finishing mower and topper are to limit the objects being thrown.

HEIGHT ADJUSMENT

The Siromer finishing mower has height adjustable wheels to allow an even finish over uneven surfaces. Each of the 4 wheels has a set of spacers which can be moved above or below the bracket.

On the Siromer Topper the cutting height is set at the desired level by moving the adjustable side skids to the appropriate position.

On the Siromer flail mowers, verge mowers and fence post mowers the cutting height is adjusted on the roller and skids.

TRACTOR HYDRAULICS REQUIRED

All Siromer mowers use the tractors PTO to turn their blades.

The mowers which can be offset hydraulically need to also connect to the tractors hydraulics to do this.

When purchasing a hydraulic offset mower you need to ensure that your tractor has the correct hydraulic spool valves to operate it.

The Siromer finishing mower, topper, light duty flail mower and heavy duty flail mower do not require any hydraulic outlets.

The hydraulic flail mower and the fence post mower requires the tractor to have one pair of double acting spool valves.

The verge mower requires two pairs of double acting spool valves.
